It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and how does Chaser celebrate it? We do it virtually!
As a fully remote team, we make it our mission to praise even the smallest achievements and celebrate every festive holiday in style. That is why this year, the operation and marketing teams came together to pull all of the stops and plan an amazing Christmas party for our entire team.
Since we had great success with our virtual party last year, we decided that this year we could only make the whole experience better.
Before the main event, our party planning committee started the month of December the best way possible, working, eating and celebrating together, listening to Christmas songs.
We had a lovely day at our CEO’s house preparing personalised boxes with Christmas gifts, funny props and delicious treats inside for all our team members. This included shipping all of the boxes to the UK, Portugal and Ukraine as we are an international team.
What better way to start our Christmas party than to praise each other for our hard work and celebrate all of our achievements throughout the year? We had a company update led by our inspiring CEO Sonia Dorais, who motivates and uplifts everyone with her amazing energy.
The first activity in our agenda for the day was a virtual Lego building activity. Everyone was surprised when they received a box of Lego at the door, leaving some team members very tempted to open it and play with it before the party.
Everyone had a great time using our creative and competitive skills. We definitely recommend this type of activity, it was a hit!
After all of that building we got hungry and had a pizza party! Everyone ordered pizza from their favourite place and we ate together while sharing fun stories with each other. We followed that with some online games and everyone had a great time.
The second virtual team building activity was so much fun! Virtual bingo hosted by the hilarious Charlie Hides, star of Ru Paul’s Drag Race. This was definitely the highlight of the day and had everyone laughing from start to finish.
At the end of our party, we hosted the second edition of the Chaser awards to celebrate and reward all of our employees. We started by giving out our Chaser value awards on a more serious note followed by the fun awards that had everybody laughing and it was a great way to end a perfect virtual Christmas party.

The first Chaser award was given to Dean Norris, our digital designer, who always shows up at every meeting with his infectious enthusiasm that reflects on the whole team. Always sees everything with a glass half full and has a very positive and optimistic energy.

This year’s virtual party was only a success thanks to our amazing team, who are a fun bunch and go along with all of our ideas, no matter what. Every single one of our team members are super supportive and are up to any challenge.
We also want to thank all of our customers, partners, investors and shareholders who have made it possible for us to accomplish and celebrate so much together. We are truly grateful and can’t wait to see what the future holds.
