Managing accounts receivable takes more than sending reminders — it takes alignment. When your finance team is using Chaser to automate chasing and your sales or customer success teams work out of Salesforce, there’s often a visibility gap.
That’s where Chaser’s new Salesforce email logging feature comes in.
This new release enables you to automatically log invoice reminders, follow-ups, and payment conversations from Chaser directly into your Salesforce CRM — keeping your teams in sync and your customer communication fully centralised.
What is Chaser’s Salesforce email logging feature?
The new Salesforce integration allows Chaser users to automatically log outgoing emails into Salesforce by forwarding them to the platform using your unique BCC or CC email address.
Once enabled, all your receivables emails — such as payment reminders, follow-ups, and replies — will be attached to the relevant contact record inside Salesforce. This means anyone reviewing an account’s activity timeline will see a full record of what was sent, when, and to whom.
There’s no need to copy messages across manually or check different inboxes to find out whether a customer was reminded about payment. Everything is tracked, automatically.
Why does logging emails in Salesforce matter?
Salesforce is often the central source of truth for many businesses. Sales teams use it to monitor deals and customer interactions. Customer success teams track onboarding and account health. Marketing monitors engagement. But when it comes to accounts receivable, critical communication like payment reminders often lives elsewhere — in finance tools or individual inboxes.
That disconnect creates gaps. A sales rep might call a customer without knowing they’ve been chased about an overdue invoice. A customer success manager might follow up on a ticket, unaware that finance is still waiting on payment. It creates friction for your teams, and confusion for your customers.
By logging your receivables emails in Salesforce, you make that information accessible — where your teams are already working.
How to set up Chaser email logging in Salesforce
Setup is quick, and can be completed in a few simple steps:
Step 1: Get your Salesforce BCC address
- In Salesforce, go to Profile > Settings > Email > My Email to Salesforce
- Copy your unique BCC address from this section
- You may also need to add all acceptable email addresses that you or your team use to send emails to debtors. This ensures messages from Chaser are recognised and logged correctly.
Step 2: Add your address in Chaser
- In Chaser, go to Manage > Sending > Email Logging
- Paste the Salesforce BCC address into the field provided
From here, Chaser will begin sending a copy of each email to Salesforce, where it will be matched to the appropriate contact record based on email address.
Choosing BCC vs CC
Chaser supports both BCC and CC options, depending on your Salesforce setup:
- Use BCC if you’re already using Salesforce’s own logging tool or extension. This helps avoid duplicates by logging only the initial Chaser message, and not replies you send manually.
- Use CC if you’re not using Salesforce’s logging tools, and want replies to be logged as well. This will include more of the message thread, but could require occasional manual intervention if someone replies directly rather than replying all.

Key benefits of logging receivables emails in Salesforce
While the setup is simple, the benefits are far-reaching for growing finance and commercial teams. Here’s what your business gains by enabling this feature:
1. A shared view of payment activity
Now, everyone from sales to customer success can view when a payment reminder was sent or whether a follow-up has gone unanswered. That transparency improves coordination, avoids misunderstandings, and ensures the customer receives consistent messaging.
2. A complete audit trail
Receivables emails are now automatically stored alongside every other customer interaction in Salesforce. This means you no longer need to rely on shared inboxes or check manually for follow-up threads.
3. Time savings and reduced admin
With Chaser handling email sending and Salesforce logging them in the background, there’s no need to manually forward messages or enter notes. It’s one less thing for finance to think about, and one more way to keep your systems connected.
4. Better reporting and workflows
Because messages appear in Salesforce as part of the contact timeline, they can be included in reporting dashboards or workflows. Want to trigger an internal notification if a reminder has been ignored for 7 days? You can build that with the data now flowing in.
5. Flexible to match your current setup
Whether you already use Salesforce’s own email logging tools or not, this integration adapts to your preferences. Choose BCC or CC depending on how much of the conversation you want to capture.

Example scenarios where this feature helps
To bring the feature to life, here are a few common examples of how Chaser email logging into Salesforce makes a difference:
Scenario 1: Sales preparing for a renewal
Your sales rep checks Salesforce before a renewal call. They can immediately see that the customer was sent a payment reminder three days ago through Chaser. With that context, they’re better prepared to address any objections or unpaid balances in the conversation.
Scenario 2: Finance handover or cover
A finance team member is covering for a colleague who’s out of office. Instead of searching through inboxes or asking for message history, they open the contact’s Salesforce record and review all receivables emails sent through Chaser.
Scenario 3: Customer success check-in
Customer success wants to reach out to check in on satisfaction or NPS, but first they review Salesforce and notice the account is overdue—and has been reminded twice via Chaser. This insight helps them tailor their messaging and avoid escalating a sensitive situation.
