Free guide: 90-day blueprint to transform your accounts receivable process

Chaser at Xerocon Brisbane 2025: Highlights from the show

Chaser at Xerocon Brisbane 2025: Highlights from the show

Xerocon Brisbane 2025 brought together thousands of accountants, bookkeepers, and app partners for two days of learning, innovation, and connection at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre. With more content, stages, and opportunities to engage than ever before, the event proved once again why Xerocon is known as one of the most valuable gatherings for the accounting community.

For Chaser, this was an opportunity to connect directly with accountants and bookkeepers across Australia and New Zealand, showcase receivables automation in action, and share newly available features with the local market.

At the stand: tackling late payments together

Across both days, the Chaser stand at E12 saw strong interest from firms looking to improve visibility and efficiency in theirs or their clients' receivables processes. Conversations consistently circled around familiar challenges:

  • Manual follow ups taking up too much time
  • Scattered debtor communications across inboxes and spreadsheets
  • Clients frustrated with late or inconsistent payments

Visitors saw first-hand how Chaser helps solve those pain points by giving practices and their clients a single view of all invoices, debtor activity, and communications. The ability to log replies, calls, and notes in one place resonated strongly with accountants and bookkeepers, many of whom are looking for greater oversight across their teams.

Tools newly available in the Australian market, such as debt collections services and the now-globally-available late payment fees, also generated significant interest. Practices appreciated the ability to extend Chaser’s automation with these additional tools, helping them reduce late payments while protecting client relationships.

Agenda and highlights

Beyond the activity at the Chaser stand, Xerocon Brisbane offered a packed agenda across two full days. The newly introduced Supercharge stage provided a launchpad for the event, with inspirational opening keynotes that set the tone around innovation, AI, and the future of accounting. Across the Discovery stages, attendees were able to dive deeper into the topics that matter most, from client experience to operational efficiency.

The Partner stages created space for industry voices to share lessons learned and practical advice, while the App spotlight stages showcased how third-party solutions like Chaser can extend the value of the Xero ecosystem. More than 80 speakers from across business, technology, and finance offered fresh perspectives. The sheer variety of sessions meant there was always something relevant, whether you were an accountant, bookkeeper, or an app partner.

Multi-channel chasing and partner benefits

Back at stand E12, another standout topic during conversations with accountants was Chaser’s ability to follow up across multiple channels. Visitors were interested in seeing how practices can now combine polite, automated reminders by:

  • Email
  • SMS
  • Automated debtor phone calls
  • Letters with QR code payment links

All within one connected system. This flexibility means accountants and bookkeepers can help clients reach debtors in the way most likely to bring payments in.

Many attendees also wanted to hear about the Chaser partner program. The program enables accountants and bookkeepers to unlock new perks, training, and revenue streams by offering Chaser to their clients. For firms looking to expand services and add value, this was an important discussion point across both days.

The Xerocon community in Brisbane

As always, Xerocon was about more than just the formal agenda. The event fostered meaningful connections across the Xero community, giving accountants, bookkeepers, and app partners the chance to exchange insights and strengthen relationships. Side events such as PowerUp XPM, Ignition Precon Party, and the popular Midcon Drinks with Brisbane Apps brought together professionals in more informal settings, creating new opportunities to collaborate.

The location itself added to the experience. Brisbane’s riverfront setting and lively hospitality scene provided a vibrant backdrop, while the legendary Xerocon wrap party at Cloudland ensured the event ended on a high note. Whether attendees chose to dance late into the evening or enjoy quieter conversations in the venue’s lounges, it was a fitting celebration after two days of learning and networking.

The wrap party: Cloudland sets the scene

The legendary Xerocon wrap party was held at Cloudland, one of Brisbane’s most iconic venues. With live entertainment, vibrant performances, and spaces for both dancing and quiet conversation, it was the perfect way to close out two days of learning and networking.

For the Chaser team, it was a chance to continue discussions in a more relaxed setting, reconnect with peers, and celebrate the strong sense of community that defines Xerocon.

Host city Brisbane

Brisbane provided an ideal backdrop for this year’s Xerocon. With its riverside setting, green parklands, and lively hospitality scene, the city offered plenty to explore outside the conference halls.

The Convention & Exhibition Centre was a fitting venue, with space for keynotes, breakout sessions, and the bustling app partner exhibition floor. From start to finish, the event was designed to make learning and networking seamless.

Final thoughts

Xerocon Brisbane 2025 underlined just how much appetite there is among accountants and bookkeepers to improve visibility and control over receivables for both themselves and their clients. The conversations at stand E12 reinforced the value of:

  • Automating reminders without losing the human touch
  • Tracking every debtor communication in one place
  • Using tools like late payment fees and debt collections to reduce overdue balances
  • Exploring partner benefits to bring new income streams into their  firms

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, picked up a Chaser travel bag, and shared their challenges and ideas. It was a pleasure to connect with so many forward-thinking professionals in Brisbane, and we look forward to continuing the conversations in the months ahead. In the meantime, you can find out more about how Chaser works with Xero, or the Chaser partner program.
